A construction foreman is responsible for overseeing construction projects from start to finish. They oversee managing and coordinating the work of their crew, ensuring that they complete tasks on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Construction foremen are responsible for scheduling workers and equipment, ensuring that materials are delivered to the job site on time, and monitoring the progress of the project. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are important for this job, as well as knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and safety regulations.
We run Vermeer equipment, we use 23x30 and 20x22.
Must have Class A CDL (permit acceptable).
Must have experience using heavy machinery such as mini excavator, skid steer, combo.
Other responsibilities include loading material and equipment to and from the job site and helping other crew members with their tasks
Shop is in Sugar Grove, job sites range across northern Illinois, some travel possible. We work 5 days per week in all reasonable weather conditions.
Union scale base, with the opportunity to exceed scale depending on experience and performance
We are IBEW 196. Full benefits and pension after 60 days
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening
